Manage Staff

From this section of the help desk express software you can manage the staff in your support system.  To modify staff members select the modify button next to the staff member.  To delete someone, select them and click the Delete Selected button.

If you select Add Staff, you will be able to create a new staff member

Login

Type the login for your staff.

New Password

Type password for your staff.

Confirm New Password

Retype staff password for confirmation.

Email

Type in staff email.

Notify this staff when a new request submitted in the below area

Check this box if you want your staff to be notified when a request is submitted.

Send Survey results

Check this box if you want customer surveys to be mailed to this staff member.

Allow staff to add new knowledge base articles

Check this box if you want your staff to have the ability to add knowledge base articles.

Allow staff to modify knowledge base articles

Check this box if you want your staff to have the ability to edit knowledge base articles.

Allow staff to add company-wide responses

Check this box if you want your staff to have the ability of adding company-wide responses.

Allow staff to add company-wide live chat commands

Check this box if you want your staff to have the ability to add company-wide live chat commands.

Allow staff to access user management area

Check this box if you want your staff to have access to the user management area.

Do not allow this staff to delete tickets and contacts

Check this box if you don't want your staff to delete tickets and contacts.

Allow staff to respond to tickets that have been assigned to other staff

Check this box if you want your staff to respond to tickets that have been assigned to other staff.

Allow staff to assign tickets to other staff members

Check this box if you want your staff to assign tickets to other staff members.

Allow staff to add calendar events for all staff

Check this box if you want your staff to add calendar events for staff.

Allow staff to add contact records for all staff

Check this box if you want your staff to have the ability to add contact records for all staff.

Order to receive chat requests

This field is used if within the Customize Setting for the chat area you choose the option where requests are sent to staff based upon the order you define in this section.

Assigned to departments

Select what departments you want to assign your staff.

Signature

Type in signature for your staff. A signature will be added when staff responds to a user's help desk ticket.

If you select the Staff Calendar link you will be taken to this page, which allows you to add events and reminders. You can also add reminders when you respond to support tickets. You can use the table below to get descriptions of each field. Click "Search" to search your events and reminders.

To-Do Ticket Number

Use this field to search for staff events if you have a ticket number.

Staff

Use this field when looking for particular staff member events.

Category

Select the category you want the search limited to.

Keyword

Type any keywords you'd like to use during search.

Event Date From and Event Date To

Use these fields if you are searching for events within a specific date range.

Status

Use these provided options to search for ticket. You can select either open, pending or closed.
