Customizing the Appearance of Omnistar Help Desk Software
| The Omnistar Help Desk Software best

and otherwise match the software to the look of their
own brand. This makes the experience of using Help Desk Software
feel like less of a jump when switching between the
original site and the Help Desk Software web pages!
Using this powerful capability, you can easily increase
the satisfaction your users get out of using our customer
support. Follow these steps to customize your copy
of Help Desk Software:

STEP 1: Login as an administrator
Ony Admins can change the design of the software.

STEP 2: Navigate to the Customize
Menu
Under the header Customize Support, select the Support
Desk link. From here you will be able to edit individual
pages and the overall User Interface. Select User
Interface.

STEP 3a: Use the Pre-existing template
to customize
This method allows you to customize the images, colors,
and text of the template we setup for the main page.
First, you have the option of editing the color of
the Tables at the top and bottom of the page, as well
as the text that appears on the main page. You can
include HTML in this text and formatting will be included.
You can also edit the text link that users will click
to begin a Help Desk Software chat.
You can edit the images that appear on the main page,
as well as the logo that appears on all the pages
of the site. Finally, you can edit the links that
appear at the top of the site, by changing their color,
text, or the address that they link to. To completely
delete a link, simply remove its text completely.

STEP 3b: Upload all your own images
This option allows you to forgo the text on the main
page and upload a full size header image. This way
allows you to use a full width header image to integrate
the look of the software better with your site. You
can edit the images that will appear on the site,
as well as edit the links in the above mentioned fashion.

STEP 4: Select an individual page
to edit
Under Customize Support Select Support Desk again.
This time select individual pages to edit by clicking
on the edit link to the right of the page name.

STEP 5: Edit the page
From this area you can edit the HTML Meta Data for
this page, useful for Search Engine Optimization,
the header image for the page, and the page's text
and colors. You can change, add, or remove text to
the main part of the page in the header box, and change
add, or remove text on the bottom in the footer box.
